All girls competing in a Live State Pageant must compete the age they will be on August 1, 2020.

It is expected, should you emerge a State Titleholder, you are attending World Finals. World Finals Pageant is held July 24-25-26-2020 in Tennessee Pigeon Forge..

Little Miss Tourism 4-6

Jr. Miss Tourism 7-9

Pre-Teen Miss Tourism 10-12

Jr. Teen Miss Tourism 13-15

Teen Miss Tourism 16-18

Miss Tourism 19-28

Miss Tourism Beauty 18-up (plus size 16 and up)

Mrs. Tourism 21-49

Ms. Tourism 21-49 

Classic Ms. 50 and Up

Tourism State Pageant Directors may choose from the events below. Each State Tourism Pageant may be different in the amount or order of events at their State Tourism Pageant. All Tourism State Pageants must be consistent in that there will not be any event added that is not in the list below.  No additional age categories other than those listed will be recognized as An Official Tourism Delegate.

Each State Contestant should expect to receive an information packet in PDF form from the State Tourism Pageant Director.

Official State Pageant Directors are responsible for making sure their State Royalty not only attend World Finals but are prepared!

No contestant may be considered for an appointed title until after her State pageant is complete.

Evening Gown

All contestants must wear a floor-length gown

Tourism titleholders must carry themselves with dignity, grace, poise, and elegance. Judges will not be evaluating the cost or designer label of the gown, but rather how well it suits the delegate (e.g., fit, color, style) as well as delegate's on-stage presentation.

What Is Expected:

  • Evening gown must be floor length. All Ages.

  • The gown must be age-appropriate.

  • ​Gowns may be embellished

Judging criteria: class, charm, modeling, on-stage presence, beauty, poise, and elegance.

You could potentially represent the World. State Pageant directors are looking for those who could "Take On The World"

On-Stage Introductions

 

Tourism titleholders must be capable of speaking to large crowds of people during their reign. She must show she can articulate her thoughts eloquently with dignity, grace, poise, and elegance. Judges will not be evaluating the cost or designer label of the gown, but rather how well it suits the delegate (e.g., fit, color, style) as well as delegate's on-stage presentation.

What Is Expected:

  • Solid Color Pink, Black or White Cocktail length dress.

  • The dress must be age-appropriate.

  • ​Dresses may be embellished

  • 30 second time limit

  • Treat as if you are doing a press introduction of yourself

Judging criteria: thoughts articulated with class, charm, modeling, on-stage presence, beauty, poise, and elegance. We should hear and understand each word being said.

Private Interview

The Interview Competition is the time to let the judges know just why they should pick you as the next World's Miss Tourism Queen.  At the World's Miss Tourism Pageant we do not ask political, religious or textbook "pageant" questions. 

Tourism titleholders must be capable of knowing how to speak to the press about the WMT pageant, herself and projects she does as a Miss Tourism Delegate during their reign. We are looking for the best contestant to represent the WMT Pageant our brand, business, her peers and should be prepared for the press. This is most important in our state titleholders. They must understand the WMT press policies included in your PDF packet.  She must show she can articulate her thoughts eloquently with dignity, grace, poise, and elegance. Judges will not be evaluating the cost or designer label of any outfit, but rather how well it suits the delegate (e.g., fit, color, style) as well as delegate's performance during the interview.

 

What Is Expected:

  • Solid Color Pink, Black or White Cocktail length dress.

  • The dress must be age-appropriate.

  • ​Dresses may be embellished

  • Time limit 1-3 min. each.

  • Treat as if you are doing a press interview as OUR BRAND AMBASSADOR.

Judging criteria: thoughts articulated with class, charm, modeling, on-stage presence, beauty, poise, and elegance. Able to answer the question asked with confidence.

Photogenic Competition

 

The Photogenic Competition is the time to show the judges just why they should pick you as the next World's Miss Tourism Queen. A Tourism Queen is Photographed often for Appearances, Autograph signings, press, magazine articles and more. It is important all photos you submit be the best you have. That you are camera ready when making appearances. 

What Is Expected:

  • For state a head and shoulders photo

  • Clear and crisp 

  • Your photo should be the best photo you have

  • The photo should be head and shoulders NO CROWN

  • No Wording on the photo.

  • The photo should be no larger than  8 X 11 no smaller than 5 x 7

Judging criteria: thoughts articulated with class, charm, modeling, on-stage presence, beauty, poise, and elegance. Able to answer the question asked with confidence.  

You could potentially represent the World. State Pageant directors are looking for those who could "Take On The World"

State Costume

 

The State Costume is part of the World's Miss Tourism Pageant because we are just that a Tourism Pageant.  The Costume you create should represent something unknown about your state. Maybe your costume looks like something we may already know your speech should give us the unknown information about that known element. Your costume itself should be creative. The costume should be WOW... an attention grabber. Show us your skills and teach us something we may not know about your State. If for a state pageant you may choose something unknown about your city. 

What Is Expected:

  • 30-45 second Speech on stage

  • Clear and articulate speaking ability

  • A WOW costume

  • Teach us something unknown

Judging criteria: Costume was WOW. Costume and speech tied together in one cohesive thought. Well-spoken easily understood. Shows class, charm, modeling, on-stage presence, beauty, poise, and elegance.
